Cancer is the one word you never want to hear in your lifetime but in the US alone 1,685,000 will be diagnosed in one year's time and an estimated 600,000 will die.
Despite all the progress in medical science and all the promises from the Cancer society there is not a cure using conventional treatments. Your only hope is to go natural and go wise. This going wise includes first diet and lifestyle, second reducing all stress, third moderate exercise and fourth sun. Understanding Cancer Diet I have tried to give you the best of all worlds and show you how to recover from any cancer with the proper diet and supplemental treatment including black seed oil and CBD oils and herbs. |
Cancer is caused by the mutation of cells into cancer cells, which consume food and grow rapidly. The food they consume comes from what we eat. In general terms, every food (in this perspective) can be classified into 3 types:
- Foods that advance cancer
- Foods that kills cancer
- Foods that have no effect on cancer
Step 1 - What foods are best for you
Vegetable juices could prove to be more beneficial, as you get a higher amount of nutrients in exchange for lower calories. Fresh, homemade juice would be far more effective than packaged ones. However, your body also needs fibre, so some vegetables must be consumed whole.
- Vegetables: Green vegetables are the foundation of any good cancer diet, so they must be the first thing you include. There is a huge variety of green vegetables you could go for, like:
- Celery
- Broccoli
- Cabbage
- Eggplant
- Beans
- Kale
- Cucumbers
- Okra etc.

- Nuts: Nuts, even though rich in proteins, must be consumed with care. While almonds and walnuts are effective against cancer, cashews must be avoided at all costs. Even the nuts which are acceptable must be consumed in measured amounts, as high consumption could lead to various adverse effects.
- Legumes: Legumes are the primary supplier of pulses, and thus, are great sources of proteins and carbohydrates. Their role in the cancer diet is to compensate for the weight loss due to the conventional treatment and supply essential proteins. Even then, legumes must be eaten in moderation, and peanuts are strictly not allowed.
- Honey: Honey serves as a great substitute for sugar and sweeteners, which are restricted in a cancer diet. The phenolic antioxidants present in honey make it acceptable in a cancer diet, though in small amounts. Generally, darker honey is preferred, which have a high antioxidant concentration. Never more than one teaspoon a day.
- Fruits: Even though fruits are extremely beneficial in a normal diet, they must be greatly limited in a cancer diet. The sole reason is the presence of sugar content, which is restricted in cancer diets. Still, some fruits that are allowed are lime, lemon, and avocados. Even then, lime and lemons must be unsweetened and consumed like a medicine instead of a drink.
- Mushrooms and other fungi: Mushrooms are one of those foods which could prove both good and bad. While their classification as a fungus makes them a risk, the benefits of mushrooms couldn't be discounted either. They are abundant with polysaccharides, which is essential in building immunity. Seafood is also acceptable since it too contains saccharides. On the same note, chlorella and spiralling are also acceptable.
- Herbs and spices: Herbs and spices are welcomed with open arms in a cancer diet since they are known to possess anti-cancer properties. However, some caution must be applied, like avoiding acidic spices and stored herbs that might develop fungus.
- Water and exercise: Water is called the 'potion of life’ for a reason. Regular consumption of water is important for a normal person and critical for a cancer patient. If possible, the water must be from fresh, natural sources instead of packaged ones. You should buy the best spring water available. I used Evian and Fiji water when I had cancer.
- Exercising: At the same time, exercising is also an essential part of the cancer diet. The full scope of the benefits of exercising would be well beyond the length of this article, but it is suffice to say that exercising is the essential supplement to your cancer diet. Keep the exercise moderate, such as rebounding for a few minutes at a time.
- Oxalic acid: Oxalic acid is known to be an assassin of cancer cells, so make sure that at least half the food you consume is composed of oxalic acid. Some prominent examples include carrots and beetroot.
What to avoid?
- Soy Products: Even though you might hear contradicting views from different dieticians, the safer route would be to avoid soy products altogether, as they could contribute to cancer. However, soy sprouts are considered safe, as they are found to consist of anti-cancer nutrients.
- Whole grains: We know that whole grains are an essential part of any good diet, but this is not true for cancer diets. Primarily reason is the development of yeast in stored grains, which must be avoided at all costs. Another reason is the acidic nature of the grains due to the soil they were cultivated upon since acidic substances are prohibited in a cancer diet. However, some grains are allowed in case the patient is suffering from severe weight loss and needs proteins and fibre. Even so, corn and rice should be avoided at all times.
- Baked foods:After establishing so many times that foods containing yeast must be avoided, it should be a no-brainer here. Baked foods like bread are rich in yeast, so they must be avoided at all cost. In fact, even refined flour must be avoided. The reason is that yeast producesmycotoxins, which could be attributed to many diseases.
- Meat, fish, and dairy: Like grains, meat and fish must only be consumed in case of severe weight loss. In all other circumstances, they must be avoided. Some varieties of freshwater fishes are allowed, but they must be consumed with care. Dairy products like milk, butter, and cheese are prohibited in a cancer diet. The only milk allowed is natural goat milk.
- Sweeteners: Artificial sweeteners are a health risk even in normal circumstances. For cancer patients, they are an absolute no-no. The artificial flavors added to them could cause a number of diseases. Only Stevia is allowed as far as sweeteners are considered because it is a natural herb.
- Sugars: Even though sugars are necessary for the body, refined sugars are a great health risk and must be avoided at all costs. There are multiple drawbacks of consuming refined sugar, like depletion of immunity, lack of Vitamin C and increase in acidity. Like we mentioned, increased acidity is highly undesirable in cancer diets. Additionally, other refined foods like grains must also be avoided.
- Salt: Salt might be the single, most important ingredient in our food, but that does not mean it is always healthy. Refined salt, particularly, is known to cause the lumping of red blood cells. This lumping could eventually cause the cells to become cancerous. Sea salt, however, is healthy enough as long as you intake it in moderate amount. (no more than 3/4 teaspoon daily).
- Fats and oils:Trans-fat, as you could guess, is a forbidden territory. They are known to be one of the major causes of cancer, by causing a lumping of cells similar to the one caused by refined salts. Polyunsaturated oils act as a catalyst for the growth of small blood vessels, even in cancer cells. Thus, to keep things simple, avoid most kinds of oils while you are on a cancer diet.
- Junk foods: When we are putting out the even seemingly healthy foods, then junk foods are obviously out of the picture. This is because junk and processed foods consist of most of the food items that must be avoided in a cancer diet. These include refined flour, refined salt, sugars, trans-fats etc. In short, junk foods do more damage to your cancer diet than any other food product. Avoid it at all costs.
- Chlorine:Chlorine is one chemical that must be avoided at all times. Unfortunately, chlorine is an integral part of the tap water we receive at our houses. Thus, avoid cooking or even washing food in tap water while you are on a cancer diet.
- Other items: There are also a number of lifestyle changes you need to make while you are on a cancer diet. To begin with, smoking must be avoided. Tobacco contains a bulk of carcinogens, which would only accelerate any kind of cancer you have. Alcohol must also be avoided because it is usually fermented and thus contain mycotoxin. Lastly, caffeine must be avoided or at least cut-down, because of its acidic nature.
- Specific items to be avoided: While we agreed upon peanuts should be avoided at any costs. The high fungus-content of peanuts makes them extremely undesirable in a cancer diet. For the same reason, corn, rice, and potatoes must also be avoided. Acidic fruits like oranges and tangerines must also be kept away from your diet plan.
Take care of the quality
Now that you know about the food you must and must not eat, you might feel confident about beating cancer. However, there is still one lesson to be learnt. The chemical composition of the food items is surely the primary factor for choosing it, but the secondary factor of quality must not be ignored either.
Even amongst the food items that are acceptable in a cancer diet, not all are good enough to eat. The qualities of the food have a drastic impact on how effective it would be in a diet. Carrots might be great anti-cancer food items, but carrots of poor quality wouldn’t be half as effective. For this reason, it is important to assess the quality of the food before consuming it. If you are Sebian, then follow the Nutritional Guide which does not allow carrots.
The safest route would be to produce these food items in your home itself. However, it is a tedious task and would take a long time, with little output. The next best alternative is to go for vendors that have a great reputation for producing high-quality food products. If their reputation is impeccable, then you can go for them.

A note for weak patients
The above diet was mentioned for patients who were healthy before cancer. However, if you were already weak or grew weak during the treatment, the diet may pose some problems for you. The biggest problem is the high content of raw foods, which might pose a problem for weak cancer patients during digestion. In such cases, cooked food like organic bone broth might be used. But in cases of severe weakness, food alone would not be enough. Additional supplements like IP6 with Inositol and a great mix is Irish Sea Moss Powder with Bladderwrack (1 tablespoon in your morning smoothies) must be supplied to the patients for quick recovery of strength.
Conclusion:
Cancer diets can not cure cancer alone but are the base of any protocol. No protocol on this earth will be effective without a strong cancer diet also. The only condition in case of a cancer diet is strict adherence to the have-and-have-nots of the diet plan. Fear of dying alone should be enough incentive to stick to a new diet. Make it delicious and make it healthy. So many diet books are available on Amazon that will show you how to begin.
